Study Abroad Program

Student exchange programs have been established at all prestigious universities to enrich the educational experience of students.  Because KFUPM is continually striving to enhance the learning experience of its students and to keep up-to-date with the best practices in higher education, study abroad program (SAP) was launched in 2008 as a major initiative in globalizing the university.

Objectives

Student diversity at universities and participation in study-abroad programs offer excellent opportunities to enhance students' skills and their ability to interact with peers from different backgrounds and cultures. Requirements

  1. Completion of minimum of 30 credit hours and not more than 45 credit hours at the time of application.
  2. Demonstration of cumulative GPA of at least 3.00 out of 4.0 at the time of applying for the SAP or as announced at the time of admission opening. The final result of admission is subject to the availability of seats.
  3. Obtaining ETS TOEFL-iBT or IELTS certificate with a minimum score of 79 in the ETS TOEFL-iBT exam and a minimum overall band score of 6.5 in the IELTS exam. KFUPM will not compensate for the cost of the TOEFL or IELTS exam.
  4. No previous participation in international activities supported financially by KFUPM such as summer training or COOP.
  5. Exhibiting a clear KFUPM record with no academic and non-academic violations during his affiliation with KFUPM.
